This is 'Mathematics in action'. This module uses the unique TacTic system to allow students to explore practical math applications. Group problem solving tasks include building and calibrating weighing scales and using them to sort objects. Typical topic areas include: Calculate area and volume, using a spring balance, and using a balance to compare weights.
