Living with Scientific Reasoning

The ability to apply reasoning skills to scientific investigation is key to successful science education. This module encourages those skills, together with the ability to use scientific instruments in a problem-solving context.

Students are guided through a comprehensive series of hands-on experiments using interactive software containing high-quality graphics, animations and full audio support. During the assignments students are asked to complete worksheets and answer questions designed to track and assess their performance.

The experiment kits are a complete resource designed to support students in a variety of exciting problem-solving tasks that will help them develop their scientific reasoning skills. Students use both manual and computer-based measurement of physical properties such as distance, time, weight and temperature.
