Living with Life Science

Young children build on their experience of living things through understanding their life-cycles and habitats. Asking questions such as "What does this animal eat?" or "Where does it live?", children build an awareness of biological phenomena.

Students are guided through a comprehensive series of hands-on experiments using interactive software containing high-quality graphics, animations and full audio support. During the assignments students are asked to complete worksheets and answer questions designed to track and assess their performance.

The experiments include a range of activities using computer-linked microscopes to examine plant and animal life as well as looking at personal health and agriculture.

Typical experiments include:

  • Use a microscope to look at pollen
  • Investigate consumers and producers
  • Find out the effects of exercise on the human body
  • Classify animals
