AutoLAB Instructional Pods

The AutoLAB instructional pods provide 20 workstations that are complete with all student learning materials, practical hardware, underpinning theory and comprehensive instructor support packs.

All the instructional material provided with each module is computer-based and runs within a ClassAct managed learning environment. AutoLAB instructional pods include a number of trainers that are based on actual vehicle components. These are used throughout the pods and allow students to practically investigate automotive systems.

The instructional modules used in the AutoLAB Instructional Pods can be supplied as:

• A complete turn-key laboratory providing the automotive topic areas that address the requirements of NATEF certification.
• Individual pods, each covering a broad topic area.
• Individual stand-alone workstations, each addressing a single automotive topic.

Multimedia Computer Aided Instruction

One of the unique features of AutoLAB is the comprehensive range of computer-based multimedia instruction that accompanies the modules. This provides the student and the instructor with access to one of the largest libraries of digital automotive study material.

Our custom designed CAI modules include dynamic animations, simulations and digital video/audio. Each package is competency-based and is fully compatible with our ClassAct management system. In addition, our unique iMAP Internet-based automotive instruction and assessment material provides an extension to the AutoLAB curriculum. This enables students to gain valuable underpinning knowledge, and access that knowledge, using any internet-enabled PC.
