Step One

Whole class presentations that incorporate high quality graphics and animations help provide the essential underpinning knowledge. Class-based assessment, using our wireless classroom assessment system, provides instant feedback to both lecturer and student. We also offer an Internet-based theory support package called IMAP. This can be used by the lecturer to deliver and asses additional background theory outside of the normal class time, or at locations remote from the motor vehicle facility.

Step Two

Students work on a range of modules that use computer linked simulators to teach operating principles and troubleshooting in a 'safe' environment, without losing site of vehicle applications. Multimedia instruction that runs within our ClassAct managed learning environment provides student tracking and reporting as well as automatic academic support, which includes on-demand voice-over prompt.

Step Three

A series of modules based on real life vehicle component trainers provide students with a range of fundamental hands-on skills and safe working practice awareness in a 'Lab' environment. Again, multimedia instruction that runs within our ClassAct managed learning environment provides student tracking and and reporting as well as automatic academic support, which includes on-demand voice-over support.

Step Four

As students successfully complete the designated work in the modules, the system will prompt them to print out job sheets that will guide them through workshop-based activities. These tasks will require access to a variety of vehicles and vehicle components, together with the required tools and safety equipment. Corresponding lecturer marked work is flagged by ClassAct for marking.
